Brunch @ Bohemia

Today some friends and I went for Sunday brunch at Bohemia at Kreuzplatz. The Bohemia is always packed on Sundays, so making a reservation
is pretty much compulsary. Which kinda sucks. Zürich is
in dire need of more places for Sunday brunch. Reserving for
Sunday brunch runs against The Fundamental Core Beliefs of
Sunday Brunchism - of which I am a keen subscriber!
But
at least they got the meal right - just. I had the "English
Plate." And was a whole lot better than what someone got
at Paddy
Reilly's a few years back. The Sausages were good, the
beans were good and the eggs were excellent. Although the promised
mushrooms were scant - three! Three! If you're going to do
an "English Plate" provide more than three mushrooms!
That said, the meal was enjoyable. Really enjoyable.
Oh yeah - and they've exhibited an extreme form of a Swiss restaurant trait. The tables are so crammed together that was impossible for anyone, except a little teddy like me, to actually get out to the toilet. And so loud as a consequence, people couldn't hear you yell at them to move their chairs in so big human types could get past to the porcelain.
But the meal was good.
